Lavender Lemon Bars
Ingredients
1 C unsalted butter, softened
½ C Sugar
2 C all-purpose flour
1 T The Lavender Kitchen ground edible Folgate Lavender bud
4 eggs, beaten
1 ½ C sugar
¼ C all-purpose flour
2 lemons, juiced
1 T lemon zest
Instructions
Preheat oven to 350 F.
Blend together softened butter, 2 C flour, ½ C sugar and ground lavender bud.
Press mixture into the bottom of a 9” x 13” pan.
Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until firm and golden.
Mix remaining 1 ½ C sugar and ¼ C flour.
Whisk in the eggs and lemon juice.
Pour over baked crust.
Bake for and additional 20 minutes.
The bars will firm up as they cool.
